Frequently Asked Questions
Main
We warmly welcome everyone—whether someone has known the Lord for many years, is a new believer, or has never attended church before and is simply curious about the Christian faith.
We are a church patterned after the New Testament and are committed to teaching and practicing in accordance with the Word of God.
We believe in the priesthood of all believers, and our Sunday meetings reflect this. During the opening portion, different men may be led by the Holy Spirit to share a hymn, thought, or word of praise. We also observe the ordinance of the Lord’s Supper, setting aside time for baptized believers to partake of the bread and the cup. This first portion of the meeting is then concluded with ministry from God’s Word. After a short break, the second portion of the meeting continues with additional ministry from God’s Word, while the children attend Sunday school.
While there is no formal dress code and people are welcome to come as they are, we do encourage modest and respectful attire. Most typically dress in business formal or business casual clothing, but all are warmly welcomed regardless of dress.
Tuesday Bible study is a time when we come together to pray for various needs, which forms the first part of the meeting. The second part is dedicated to Bible study, where the message is typically part of a teaching series through a book of the Bible.
Outside of the Sunday Worship Meeting and Tuesday Bible Study, we gather throughout the year for the following:
Monthly
Men’s and Ladies’ Prayer & Bible Study
Quarterly
Adult Sunday School and Fellowship Meals
Annually
Church Trips (picnics, zoo, parks etc.)
Vacation Bible School
Volunteer opportunities
Conferences
End of year watch night meeting
Occasionally
Missionary Meetings
At our meetings, the focus of teaching is on faithfully interpreting the Word of God, seeking to explain what Scripture says without adding to it or changing its meaning. Messages are typically delivered in either an exegetical style, working through passages of Scripture in context, or a topical style, addressing specific themes drawn from the Bible. Teaching is most often given by men from within the church, along with visiting evangelists, and on occasion, special speakers are invited for particular meetings or events.
